A Peep Show

We’ve set a yummy stage for our peeps this year; a bed of rice crispy treats! This treat is vibrant in color, has lots of contrast in texture and makes for some fun eye candy for your kids. If you’re looking for something to spark your kids taste buds and perk up your Easter spread, these crispy peep treats are sure to be a hit!

Peep Show Treats:

Ingredients:

9-12 marshmallow PEEPSĀ® chicks (depending on if you want larger or smaller crispy bars)
6 c crispy rice cereal
3.5 T butter spread
10 oz marshmallows

Directions:

Freeze chicks overnight to make them easier to press into the rice crispy bars. In a medium saucepan, melt butter spread over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat, add cereal and stir until coated through. Press the mixture with the back of a spoon firmly into a 13×9 pan. Press frozen chicks into crispy mixture and let cool completely before cutting into squares.
