Don’t you just love the color of this Banana Berry Purple Power Smoothie? Even though this recipe is perfect to fuel a workout, or just to put some pep in your step in the morning, we can see kids loving this recipe as well just because of the color. Let alone the great taste!
This recipe comes from the eMeals breakfast plan and is chock full of healthy ingredients including blueberries, bananas, low fat milk, flaxseed meal (optional) and cinnamon!
This smoothie blended together beautifully and really let the taste of the cinnamon shine. Even some of our staff members who don’t love blueberries liked this recipe because of how all the flavors complimented each other. As an added health bonus, this recipe is Clean Eating friendly. - 16 oz frozen blueberries
- 3 medium bananas
- 2 cups low fat milk
- 3 tablespoons honey or agave nectar
- 3 tablespoons flaxseed meal (optional)
- 1½ teaspoons lemon juice
- 1½ teaspoons cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
- Combine blueberries, banana, milk, honey or agave, flaxseed meal if using, lemon juice, cinnamon and nutmeg in a blender.
- Process until smooth.
