A Feathered Nest Baby Shower

To bless a baby and feather a new mommy’s nest, we pulled together a “Baby Bird Baby Shower” featuring branches from which baby blessings were suspended, natural elements of moss and ferns, bird houses and a menu that reflected the theme. The central focus was a “Baby Bird” cake surrounded by matching cupcakes, fruit and berries…

French Dips, Friends, & Fifteen

Well, I ask my son what he would like to have for dinner for his party and he requested pizza and… french dips. The French dip alone makes my son a true believer in E-Mealz. He believes that this sandwich is one of God’s greatest blessings in his life. He savors every bite of all THREE sandwiches he eats when I make this E-Mealz favorite for our family.

Where is Harry? Bridal Tea gone Hogwarts…

It was a big surprise and yet a perfectly logical fit that Casey’s first bridal shower this January was a Harry Potter inspired event. Not to eclipse the beautiful spread of delicious delights, gifts and love that abounded, but, we were all completely blown away by the Hogwart inspired bridal gown design competition that ensued, pitting the younger-than-21-year-olds against all the older ladies.

A Red Velvet Valentine

These red velvet cupcakes are so delicious, we have enjoyed them numerous times lately. These are pictures from three different recent occasions where I snapped pictures of the cupcakes before they were devoured… because they are so pretty! They are easy to make, but have a chocolate surprise inside and whipped cream added to the icing.
You can find the recipe on our home page in the left navigation. Just enter your email address, and the recipe will be sent directly to your inbox. This would be a perfect “homemade with love” surprise for your Valentine!
