Getting Started on Paleo Meal Planning: A Shopping Guide

Planning to try the Paleo Diet? Check out our new Paleo Meal Plan for simple dinner recipes for every day of the week and a shopping list to help you stay on track.

But before you get started, clean out your fridge and pantry. Here’s what you should get rid of:

  • All processed foods: cookies, crackers, soda, cereal, desserts
  • Grains: rice, pasta, bread, oatmeal
  • Dairy: milk, yogurt, ice cream, cheese
  • Alcohol

By removing all of the prohibited foods from your kitchen, you’ll remove the temptation to stray from your new healthy eating style. If you don’t have it, you won’t eat it!

Once you’ve gotten rid of all of the non-Paleo foods, restock your kitchen with all of the Paleo-friendly foods you need. Here is a printable shopping list to help you navigate the grocery store in Paleo style. If you’ve already subscribed to our new Paleo Meal Plan, you’re weekly plan will include a shopping list for all of the fresh meats, fruits, and vegetables you will need for the week’s recipes. Use this list to stock your pantry with all of the Paleo-friendly staples you’ll need to prepare our recipes. If you haven’t tried out our plan yet, use this list as a guide to shopping for ingredients to prepare Paleo meals at home.

I was a member of emeals but stopped because I really need the nutritional info such as carbs, protein and fat to plan my meals. Is this in the future to be included? I really would like it with the Paleo diet.
