In light of our recent post about peanuts Peanut Butter Price Increase you better run, don’t walk, to get your peanut butter! My hubby likes EXTRA crunchy, but I’ve got a great recipe to share that puts your smooth PB to good use! Chocolate and peanut butter…it’s a frozen treat that’s sure to be a hit!
|½ c chocolate chips¼ c milk1 c heavy whipping cream1 t vanilla8 oz cream cheese, softened at room temp
3/4 c creamy peanut butter
1 c powdered sugar
9” graham cracker crust
¼ c peanuts, coarsely chopped
|In a small saucepan, melt chips in milk and set aside; cover.Whip whipping cream and vanilla together until fluffy. Set aside.Slowly mix cream cheese, peanut butter and powdered sugar until creamy. Add 1/3 of the whipped cream and turn to combine gently. Add the remaining whipped cream; combine gently. Pour peanut butter mixture into the graham cracker crust. Spread evenly.
Pour chocolate sauce over top of pie. Using a knife to spread it over the top evenly.
Coarsely chop peanuts and sprinkle on the top. Put in the freezer for 1 hour. Serve frozen!
Most of these items might be in your pantry/refrig right now! These are the ones I found in mine: chocolate chips, milk, vanilla, peanut butter, powdered sugar and peanuts. The only items I had to buy were heavy whipping cream, cream cheese and the graham cracker crust. Also, I doubled it and now I have one in my freezer to share with company. Enjoy!
