Homemade Coffee Creamer


We are so used to picking everything up at the grocery store in the most convenient and easy fashion possible, that sometimes we forget how simple it can be to make your now homemade version. Making your own coffee creamer takes just 3 ingredients, 2 minutes and can cut the cost by more than half.

This basic recipe can be tweaked to your personal taste. After you get this basic recipe down, start experimenting or search Pinterest for ideas on how to easily make a variety of flavors like Peanut Butter and Mint by substituting different extracts.

Vanilla Coffee Creamer
  • 14 oz can non-fat sweetened condensed milk
  • 1½ cups milk or cream of your choice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  1. Mix well in an airtight container that you can easily shake up before pouring in your coffee cup. Store in refrigerator for up to 10 days.

    Your better off using the regular or lite sweetened condensed milk because it only has 22 & 23 grams of sugar respectively. The fat-free has like 25 grams.

    I like to use half & half (or whatever milk is in the fridge), with maple syrup to sweeten and vanilla. Then you have actually cut out the processed stuff.

    store-bought sweetened condensed milk has extra ingredients too. You can make your own (look on Pinterest) if you really want to use that. Also, I don’t buy fat-free or low-fat anything since that is actually worse for you. Eat with full fat as that is the natural form, or don’t eat at all.

    I can’t have sweetened condensed milk (lactose intolerant), but I have discovered vanilla almond milk or almond milk with vanilla added makes a great creamer for those of us who can’t handle the dairy.
