Nutrition Comparison: Ice Cream Parfait

We may all “scream for ice cream,” but there’s a new kid on the block in the world of frozen treats, Greek frozen yogurt. It’s rich and creamy like ice cream, but without the fat and a lot less calories. Check out the image above to check out the nutrition comparison in the two different ice cream parfaits. We created out own version of Dairy Queen’s Peanut Buster® Parfait and managed to cut the calories in half and slashed the fat and sugar by over 60%!  So pick up some Greek frozen yogurt in your grocery store and savor the sweetness of summer without the guilt.

Greek Frozen Yogurt Choco-Peanut Parfait

Ingredients
  • 1 cup vanilla Greek frozen yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ tablespoons chopped dry roasted peanuts
Instructions
  1. Scoop yogurt into a dessert bowl. Top with chocolate chips and peanuts, and enjoy!

    When you publish nutrition comparisons it’s very important to list the serving size. A smaller serving is usually going to have fewer calories, etc so that information is critical. I may have missed it, but I didn’t see the serving size in the image above.

      Please look directly below the title of the recipe in the print friendly box and you will usually see the recipe type, the number it serves and then additional information near the bottom. For instance, on this recipe you will see that it says serves 1 under the title. Thanks!
