WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THE PALEO PLAN?
Without a doubt, my favorite aspect about the Paleo plan is that it’s accessible to everyone. You don’t have to live in a big city or near a gourmet market. The vast majority of our ingredients can be found at your local grocery store—even the large national discount stores.
WHAT’S ONE CHALLENGE ABOUT WRITING THE PALEO PLAN?
The biggest challenge is maintaining a variety of meals. Our protein-heavy Paleo Meal Plan doesn’t allow for traditional sides like pasta, rice or potatoes, so I have to bring my A-game every week to ensure it doesn’t just turn into the “All Meat Plan.” I really try to mix up not only the flavor profiles, but also the vegetable-based sides, so the meals are hearty, appetizing and exciting.

WHAT’S ONE BENEFIT YOU’VE SEEN OR HEARD OF REGARDING THE PALEO LIFESTYLE?
Those who have been on the Paleo diet say that once all the refined sugar and dairy are cut from the diet—about two to three months in—their level of energy is noticeably higher than before, so they’re even more motivated to work out and follow a Paleo diet, all part of the lifestyle.

Paleo is more of a lifestyle because it’s all about mimicking the way people ate and stayed fit during ancient times, so it’s not just about a high-protein, vegetable-rich diet, it’s also about working out in a way that uses the entire body (which is why the CrossFit-style workouts go hand-in-glove with the diet).

Stick with it. Don’t give up. It’s take a few weeks to get used to no refined sugar and dairy. But once you’re over the hump, the real benefits begin to kick in.
