Slow Cooker Chicken & Sausage Nachos

Slow Cooker Clean Chicken Sausage Nachos
 
Serves: 6
Ingredients
  • 2 (12-oz) packages spicy chipotle chicken sausage
  • 1 (15-oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1½ cups frozen whole kernel corn
  • ½ cup reduced sodium chicken broth
  • 11/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 9 cups multi-grain tortilla chips
  • 11/2 cups freshly shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 6 tablespoons reduced-fat sour cream (optional)
  • 2 plum tomatoes, diced
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced
Instructions
  1. Combine sausage, beans, corn, broth, chili powder, pepper, garlic powder and salt in a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on Low 4 hours.
  3. Remove sausage; chop.
  4. Return remaining sausage to slow cooker.
  5. Preheat broiler.
  6. Spread tortilla chips on 2 rimmed baking sheets.
  7. Top chips with chopped sausage mixture and cheese.
  8. Broil 2 minutes or until cheese melts.
  9. Top with sour cream (if using), tomato and jalapeno.

    What area of the store do i find this sausage and what brand is it? I am moving back to the states after 4 years and I am a little out of the loop on all these new foods!

    Just made this tonight for my family. It was absolutely delicious. Definitely going on my favs list so I can make it over and over again. This would be great to take to a pot luck or entertain friends at home.
