Switch eMeals Plans with Ease

Change Your eMeals Plan

Note: As of December 2015, you can switch your meal plan an unlimited number of times throughout the month!

Did you know that you can switch eMeals plans as needed to suit your family’s ever-changing tastes and schedule? Many of our subscribers love to swap plans out depending on various factors. What’s best, it’s completely free! Here are just a few ways our subscribers use all of eMeals’ plans to their best advantage.

Busy week? Get out that slow cooker.

Soccer moms (and dads) unite! Busy parents switch to the Slow Cooker Classic plan during weeks that they’ll be in and out of the house without the time in the evening to prep a meal. Know that you’ll be getting home at 6 p.m. every night and will (let’s admit it) be way too tired to chop, slice and dice? Let the eMeals Slow Cooker plan do the work for you. A lot of the recipes can even be prepped on Sunday or the night before. If you’re a Clean Eating follower, you’ll love the Slow Cooker Clean Eating plan too!

In a food rut?

It’s natural for all of us to fall into ruts with our food habits. Sometimes we just need something different. Why not try something new for a week or two, like our Simple Gourmet plan? Learn how to take simple store-bought ingredients and dress them up into something so flavorful even the pickiest foodies in your house will be asking for seconds.

Did you overdo it on that holiday feasting?

Lighten your diet for a few weeks with our Low Calorie or Portion Control plans. You’ll pick up some healthy habits you can incorporate into your daily meals and trim some inches in the process.

Am I understanding correctly…if I purchase a year long subscription to emeals and choose 30-minute meals plans and then a few months in my family decides to try a paleo diet, at no charge I can change the types of meals I am being sent?

    1. Ashley Leath - Menu Editor

That’s correct, Ashley. Your subscription can be used with any plan and is good for the duration of the subscription (so, in the case you mentioned, one year). But you can swap plans as much as you’d like to fit your family’s needs within that timeframe, free of charge.

Ashley Leath… Unfortunately, unless I completely misunderstood you, your response is not true. I just joined eMeals and was excited to read this blog. I’m having a hard time deciding which meal plan best suits me and, after viewing your response to Ashley (above), felt very comfortable changing from one plan to another as I checked out the menus offered. However, before I was even done looking through the list of meal plans, I was ‘locked out’ with an error message notifying me that I could not change plans again until April 14 (today is March 16). Sadly, I am now stuck with the Low Carb option of meal plans, although I would probably be more comfortable with Diabetic for the next month. Please review/revise your response to Ashley’s questions because it seems that you’ve given us all incorrect information.

      Hi Melissa,

Yes, I’ve amended the blog post and my comment. I learned today that users are maxed out at 10 switches per month, something I wasn’t aware of before today. If you’ll get in touch with our Customer Experience team, they’ll be happy to help you. I’m sorry for the confusion and trouble! For anyone else interested, we encourage you to browse through the sample plans before actually switching a plan. Sample plans are available for free on the website. Sorry again, Melissa!

      Best,
      Ashley

UPDATE: As of Dec. 2015, users can switch their meal plan as many times as they want!

        Ashley,
When I found this out earlier last week, I was told I could contact emeals and have them change it prior to when my month was up. Is that still an option?

        1. Ashley Leath - Menu Editor

          Hi Shannon,

Do you mean contact eMeals to change your meal plan? If so, you are welcome to get in touch with us and Customer Experience will be happy to help switch you to a different plan. That said, you can also change it yourself using the instructions above. Does that help?

      Hi Robin,

Do you mean for your dinner meal plan? All of our dinner plans (with the exception of our partner plans All You, HEALTH, and Paula Deen), are set at 6 servings. If you need to reduce that to 4 servings, you’ll have to simply decrease the amounts of the ingredients a bit. Or, many of our members love using the leftovers for lunch during the work week, or freezing for emergency dinners on busy weeknights. Hope that helps!

When i signed up for the trial it asked me if i wanted to try the healthy breakfast menu as well. As it turns out I have not used it once, I just don’t have that much time in the morning. Is there a way to take that off of to change it?

      Hi Tiffany,

If you’ll get in touch with our Customer Experience team, they’ll be happy to help you with that.

I signed up for Paleo lunch meal plans and for the last 3 weeks I haven’t used it once. Is there a way to change that to something that suits me better? Maybe clean eating, under 30 min, or the low calorie plan would be better for my lunch menus.

Hi! If I change plans, will I still have access to the recipes I saved in the Recipe Box in the app from the previous plan?

    1. Ashley Leath - Menu Editor

      Hi Rachel,

Any recipes you have saved in your My Plan or Recipe Box should remain saved, even if you change plans.

      Hi Carol,

We’re adding more and more photography to our meal plans every day! Most plans come with at least one meal/week that has been photographed.

  7. Emily Brown

I’m disappointed there is a max. I change plans often to fit the taste of my family. If I find only 4 suitable meals for the week I change plans to find a more suitable one. I simply can’t contact customer service to try and find a plan of the week.

    1. eMeals

      Hi Emily,

Actually, you can change plans as many as ten times a month. That would mean you could change twice each week!

Also, we’d suggest you give the My Plan feature a try. This allows you to select any seven meals you want from your current and previous plans to create a week’s worth of meals that will suit your family’s tastes. Hope this helps!

UPDATE: As of Dec. 2015, users can switch as many times as they want!
