Bulgur is definitely getting its 15 minutes of fame right now. Even though bulgur has been around for a long time, this Middle Eastern staple is seen more and more frequently in blogs and cookbooks alike. And with all the health benefits this whole grain packs (see below), it’s easy to see why!
Did you know that bulgur wheat consists of wheat kernels that have been steamed, dried and then crushed? It’s the same thing as cracked wheat, and is a great way to get whole grains into your diet.
